Live Civilly – #GivingTuesday | live civilly

Support live civilly Sunday to get ready for Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday!  While the world is deep in the throes of holiday preparations, live civilly is rounding out 2015 and making plans for 2016.  From the live civilly/Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry to our Community Supported Gardens to the Community Service Club at the UES…we are hard at work developing programs and service opportunities to get young people involved in their communities!

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.  It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.  So as we all take time to prepare our homes, our gifts, our lives for the holidays and the beginning of 2016, we hope that you, our Friends and our Supporters will continue your support of live civilly.  We also want to share with you some great ways that you can support live civilly EASILY!!

The first way to support is to choose live civilly as the non-profit of your choice on one of our many corporate giving platforms.  Shop with AMAZON?  Choose live civilly on AMAZON SMILE.  This is a great opportunity to increase live civilly’s AmazonSmile donations by shopping at smile.amazon.com.  Just click the link: http://smile.amazon.com/ch/27-4656300!  Follow the prompts to select live civilly as your non-profit of choice.

Another way to support live civilly is to search and shop using GoodSearch and GoodShop.  I can’t believe how easy these combined services are (and I am not a tech savvy shopper)!  Select live civilly as your non-profit of choice and every time you search on the GoodSearch search engine it donates a penny to live civilly! And then there’s the GoodShop!  Holy cow!  Talk about easy!  Just select the merchant you want to shop with and they donate a percentage of the sale to live civilly!  Seriously CRAZY EASY!  Cyber Week is in full swing, and the deals are only getting better and better. Save big on travel, electronics, toys, clothing, accessories, and more. The best part? GoodShop is donating up to 20% of purchases to charity. So, what are you waiting for?  The marketing gurus at Good Shop have sent us the reminder:  “Be sure to mark your calendar for Goodshop Sunday, this November 29th. Double your power to save and give back twice as much because donations will be doubled and you can take advantage of exclusive savings! You shop. You save. We Give.” (can you embed the link that has the shopping countdown on it?)

And finally, for those who want to donate to live civilly the old fashioned way, all donations are 100% tax deductible and go toward programs and initiatives.  You can provide general support or choose a specific program to which to providing funding.  From the pantry to the gardens to the nutritional outreach and cooking programs – every penny received is spent on live civilly programs.  You can visit our donation page and donate online or send a financial contribution to live civilly, PO Box 517, Moorestown, NJ 08057.

All of these efforts make a big difference for live civilly at the end of the year!  And we appreciate the help!  All along, the idea has been to develop a broad base of support so that we don’t “over-ask.”  We love our supporters and are so appreciative of every donation we receive!  From donations of food to our food pantry, to the financial contributions, to the donations of time and talent – every contribution is valuable!

We at live civilly thank all of you for every donation and for making live civilly a priority!  We look forward to working with all of you as we continue the growth and expansion of our programs in 2016!  We are grateful for each of you and for your support!
